About

Investing in Courageous Change: From Crisis to Culture Shift

We are a trusted and respected organisation with over 38 years of experience supporting men and their families to live safe, well, and free from violence. Our services span the spectrum — from urgent crisis support to long-term behaviour change, and now, to bold preventative work that stops harm before it starts.

Our work is grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and powered by our experience: when we help men heal, we help whānau, communities, and future generations thrive.

Every day, we are contacted by:

  • Men who want to change — who are brave enough to ask for help, but unable to pay for services.

  • Parents, partners, and siblings worried about young men getting pulled into dark online spaces and ideologies.

  • Community leaders who see the warning signs but have nowhere to turn for early support.

These moments of courage and concern are windows of opportunity. Your investment can make sure the door for positive change stays open.

What we do:

  • Intervene to support men to stop using violence and build safe relationships.

  • Educate and give wraparound support to pull people out of extremist content pipelines before it’s too late.

  • Support whānau with resources and pathways for loved ones who see the signs but don’t know what to do.

  • Workplace “Be There” bystander training empowering everyone in organisations to know how to speak up or take action - contributing to safer, more respectful workspaces and communities.
