About
Strengthening Connections Through Better Hearing
For more than 70 years, Hearing Nelson has been at the heart of Nelson, helping people with hearing loss stay connected, confident and included. Each year, we support over 2,000 people through hearing aid outreach visits to rest homes and community education programmes promoting safe listening and understanding of hearing loss. Operating without government funding, we rely on the generosity of local donors, volunteers and sponsors to keep our services accessible and growing.
“Hearing loss doesn’t just affect the ears, it affects connection, wellbeing, and belonging,” says a Hearing Nelson spokesperson. “Our goal is to make sure no one in our community feels left out because they can’t hear or be heard.”
With your support, Hearing Nelson can continue building a region where everyone, no matter their hearing ability, can belong, communicate and thrive.
